The Structure

NAGPS has a threefold mission for the graduate and professional student community in the United States of America:

  1. develop and sustain a member network to connect graduate and professional students and their associations,

  2. provide resources and support to empower members, and

  3. advocate at local and national levels on their behalf.

Governance Documents
The President oversees all activities and operations of the Association, serves as the Chief Executive Officer, and is the Chair of the Board of Directors.


History
The Vice President oversees the responsibilities of the Directors and coordinates the content for the National Conference.


Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is composed of the Officers, Chairs of the Standing Committees, and Regional Chairs.  The Board of Directors is charged to on behalf of the membership.


Committees

The committees are responsible for the coordination of Association efforts regarding their committee issues at the national level.


Regions

The membership is divided into 5 geographical units within the United States called Regions.  Each Region has its own structure, conferences, and publications to support the vision of the Association.
