NAGPS Awards

Each year since 1995, the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students has presented annual awards to individuals and organizations that have contributed to graduate and professional education and helped improve the quality of life for our nation’s graduate and professional students.  Nominations for the Awards will be accepted until 11:59 PM ET on Friday, October 14, 2011.

NAGPS Award Descriptions

• GPSO Program of the Year: given in recognition of an excellent program run at a member GPSO
   
• NAGPS Member of the Year: given to an organization or individual who has contributed significantly to NAGPS and/or their own GPSO or institution, and has been a member of NAGPS since before the last national conference
   
• NAGPS New Member of the Year: given to an organization or individual who joined NAGPS since the last national conference and has contributed significantly to NAGPS and/or their own GPSO or institution
   
• NAGPS President's Award: given to an organization or individual who has exemplified excellence in the graduate-professional student community
   
• NAGPS Friend of Graduate Students: given to a non-student who has provided extraordinary benefit to graduate/professional students on a local, regional, and/or national level
   
• NAGPS Lifetime Achievement Award: given to an individual who has demonstrated sustained, exceptional service to the Association and to graduate/professional students in the U.S.; given only occasionally to the most outstanding individuals
